The Foundation, a 501 (c) (3) corporation, is governed by a 12 member Board of Directors elected to staggered, three-year terms. The Board meets quarterly. Employing sound investment and spending policies, the Foundation acquires and manages assets in order to provide scholorships that would not be possible through other funding sources to Haney Technical Center students.

The Tom P. Haney Foundation Is...

 

...a chartered organization formed specifically for the purpose of providing direct support to the students of the Tom P. Haney Technical Center.  The Foundation was formed in 1995 when a group of community members, faculty, and the Director of the Center, acted on the need for financial assistance for students to train and re-train for their vocational choice.  The scholarship endowment, structured such that earned interest only may be disbursed, has enjoyed steady growth thanks to the enduring generosity of benefactors and alumni.

....for any Haney post-secondary student in Bay, Gulf, and Franklin Counties.  Application information is available in any counselor's office at Haney Technical Center, 3016 Highway 77, Panama City, FL or by calling 850-747-5500.  Applications are screened by an internal scholarship committee.  The applications must include 1) a completed application form listing the number of scholarships previously awarded, 2) a statement of financial need, and 3) a recommendation from a guidance counselor or program instructor.  The scholarship is limited to tuition and books and the final selections are made by the Foundation's Board of Directors.

Haney Technical Center.  Many of the Center's programs enjoy 100% job placement rates and most students remain in the three-county area, giving back to the community through their career choices.
